Next time you take a trip try playing Car Bingo and you’ll have a great time.

How Do You Play Car Bingo?

Car Bingo is a great way to have some fun during a long trip. It shares some similarities with online Bingo but it’s more dynamic and enjoyable. Just like online Bingo, the cards have 5 columns and 5 rows grid, making up a total of 25 squares. However, each square has a different symbol drawing for objects you can find on road trips such as dogs, different animals, trees, birds, kids playing in the backseats of other cars.

What Are the Rules of Car Bingo?

Car Bingo Rules are simple to follow. You need to mark off the patterns on the Bingo Cards which match the items you notice through the car window. If you see trees, you mark off the tree drawing on the Bingo Card. The goal is to mark off 5 drawings in a row to reach Bingo. There is no caller like in online Bingo, everything depends on what you see around you. You can have the kids join in and set up teams.

Car Bingo Variants

You can play different car bingo variants depending on the length of the ride you’re taking. You can play around with setting different rules to the game such as only one line should be marked off completely or you can choose to mark off the corners of the card. It’s up to you and the other passengers how you want to play the game.

Prizes

To make it more challenging and fun, especially if you’ve taken your kids with you, you can decide on prizes for the winner.

The Poker Run – Combining Cars and Poker https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/the-poker-run-combining-cars-and-poker/ Thu, 27 Jan 2022 08:59:17 +0000 https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/?p=20 There are many people out there who enjoy both cars and poker. Perhaps then someone, somewhere, at some point, decided to creating something where these two passions could meet in one single competition. While a poker run technically could be made with any type of vehicle, or even on foot for that matter, the car is the most commonly used means of transportation in a poker run.

How it works

The poker run starts as a sort of race, but with a very big difference from an ordinary race: the finishing time usually doesn’t matter. The way these work instead is to have a race with a certain amount of checkpoints, exactly how many can vary depending on the type of poker being played. Becasue at each of these checkpoints, everyone in the race will be able to pick up a card. When they then have a full hand, the car part of the poker run will end when they cross the finish line. When everyone has made it to the end of the race, it’s time to play poker. The most common form of this is the standard five card draw poker, following the normal rules. The winner of the hand is declared the winner of the poker run.

Making it more interesting

While this is the most basic form of a poker run, there are almost endless oppertunities of variations of the concept. Here are some examples to make your poker run more interesting:

  • Give only the participants who made it to the finish below a certain time, the oppertunity to exchange cards.
  • Let the one with the best race time exchange one of their cards for a blind card belonging to the one with the worst time.
  • Give all players one more card than they need and let each participant to draw a random card from another player with they must discard.

These are just some examples. The limit of variations is basically only your own imagination. Have fun!

The Modern Car and how they may develop in the Future https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/the-modern-car-and-how-they-may-develop-in-the-future/ Thu, 27 Jan 2022 08:57:46 +0000 https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/?p=17 The automobile industry has, in the recent past, been characterised by power, speed, individualism and freedom. Today, things are looking up for carmakers in ways that are unimaginable and more change is expected in the future. There will be little talk about alternative fuels, and too much discussion on information technology and automation. New designs will rule the roads, and there will also be widespread adoption of electric vehicles. More than any other invention before, the automobile has, in large ways, shaped the modern world. One of them was the introduction of the internal congestion engine, which was used to power the horseless carriage, and the other was the extraction and refinement of petrol. In turn, this created jobs and gave rise to mobility. In the current world, communication networks, the internet and other electronics are more of the commodities poised to bring change in transportation.

Internet Connectivity

By 2020, vehicles are likely to be connected to the internet via WIFI, and a good number of them will be in a position to consume, create and share web-based data. The connectivity will be the reason most carmakers will change their models as per the inventions of tech innovators, primarily with the aim of gaining income from mobile apps. With the introduction of the internet, manufacturers will have to team up with players like Apple, Samsung and Google. The apps will contain driver-related content, and it will be possible to shop on the internet and pay for parking online. Indeed, the automobile is set to be the final digital lifestyle frontier. Car companies have recently been telling the world that, by 2020, cars will be electric and internet-connected, something that sounds quite exciting. In 2050, the automobile is expected to be self-driving, and companies are working to find ways of allowing cars to cruise along highways without drivers. With the upgrades, driving is likely to become safer and more efficient, and in fact, there will be less congestion. There may also be new automobiles that are smaller and highly efficient.

Cars – Evolution https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/cars-evolution/ Thu, 27 Jan 2022 08:54:08 +0000 https://scotiacarseskbank.co.uk/?p=10 The wheel was invented to transport things more efficiently. The automobile was invented to make travel more efficient. The humble but brilliant wheel is said to have been re-invented many a time, and while the automobile has more or less retained its basic concept, the time has now come for its evolution.

Gradual Change

Cars have, over the years, evolved in terms of the engine, the aerodynamics, and certainly the safety. Air bags were unheard of during the first few generations, and so was a car that went to 0-60 mph in five seconds or less. We have indeed come a long way from Henry Ford’s early designs. The next step, however, may just be a game changer.

The Future Is Electric

Or hybrid, for that matter. The automobile industry has particularly borne the brunt of climate change, with repeated calls to move away from petroleum products. The industry has listened and answered with a new generation of vehicles that do not require a drop of petrol or diesel.

Some may say that the future has already arrived.

Hybrid vehicles have turned out to be the more popular at this moment in time, allowing car owners to switch between the more eco-friendly option of electric power and regular petrol/diesel. This makes it easier for people to continue driving even if the electric charge is running a bit low. They do not have to be overtly bothered about charging their engines, which brings us to electric cars. The one, major concern with an all-out electric automobile is that charging stations can be a bit hard to come by, especially if you decide to go for a long, cross-country drive. Petrol and diesel stations are still the more common sight. There are, however, certain cities that are making a serious effort to provide easy access to charging terminals.

The Other Options

Apart from electric vehicles, there are alternatives that run on compressed natural gas, or CNG, that have become popular in developing economies such as India. Brazil is perhaps the only nation who is free of petroleum as a source of fuel, instead using biochemical agents.
